Start of a new blog

I live in the desert southwest (Southern Arizona).  Gardening here is different than in many other places being a harsh environment for many plants.  But our backyard is full of life, both plant and animal.  

This blog will present life in the backyard.  Major area are:

• Bonsai Garden
• Fish Pond
• Vegetable Garden

From time to time, I will add photos from other near by locations (like the zoo).
